The National Blue Ribbon Logo and Identification

Required Terms of Use

National Blue Ribbon Schools are encouraged to publicize their status by using the official program logo and by identifying themselves as recipients of this prestigious award.

Note: Schools must include the year of their award when publicizing their status, irrespective of logo use. For example, Apple Orchard Middle School, a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School, is correct usage, because the year of the award is coupled with the National Blue Ribbon School status in the statement.

Logo Use Guidelines

The National Blue Ribbon School logo is service-marked by the U.S. Department of Education.

Schools may use the official logo to advertise their award in many ways, such as on letterhead, newsletters, websites, banners, signage, clothing designs, etc.

Schools must use the logo with the official colors only or in black and white or grayscale, provided to accommodate non-color printing. The logo is available below in color, grayscale, and black and white formats for your use.

Schools may not alter the logo design or content. For example, schools may not delete or change the year of the award or insert their school name into the body of the logo.

Again, schools must include the year of their award when publicizing their status, for example: Apple Orchard Middle School, a National Blue Ribbon School. The year of the award must be coupled with the National Blue Ribbon School status
